A Game Model helps align understanding of players - teaching them individually and collectively what cues to look for in all phases of the game, and how to simultaneously identify solutions to problems.  Teaching and learning hinge in many ways on having a well understood Game Model that orients thinking, aligns understanding, and guides the decision-making process.
