On Thursday, May 29, the players of FC Wisconsin Eclipse took their training "on the road" - and added some food as well! On a beautiful Milwaukee day, players from U13 to U23 came together to play beach soccer at Bradford Beach and then were treated to grilled burgers and more by the FC Wisconsin Eclipse coaching staff.
Players at FC Wisconsin Eclipse play, or are preparing to play, in the ECNL - the highest level of youth female soccer in the United States. They ASPIRE to maximize their ability level and eventually star in college. They work hard in team training, do work on their own in TIP Training, and push themselves mentally and physically to be better every day. Through that, they learn more about themselves and each other than they could in almost any other environment. But it is not only work! The best relationships are forged between teammates in the spare moments between games, on the road in the car and hotel, in the jokes and minutes after training, and in the fun events off the field.
Thanks to burger cook David Check, and to coaches Vito Parente, Andy Lee, and Kate Markgraff for their help with the BBQ!
