Two FC Wisconsin Eclipse players earned high individual recognition for their performances in the ECNL National Showcase Event - Phoenix in early October when they were recently named to the All-Event Teams.  The ECNL selects 11 players in each age group at every ECNL National Showcase Event from the hundreds of players in attendance based on scouting and recommendations.

Brooke Szafranski (U17) played central defense for FC Wisconsin Eclipse and stood out for her ability in the air, individual defensive technique, and organization of the back line.  It is the first ECNL honor for Szafranski, who is currently recovering from ACL surgery for an injury suffered a few weeks after the event.

Gaby Dorsey (U16) played as a center forward for FC Wisconsin Eclipse and scored 2 key goals in a weekend that saw her team win 2 games out of 3.  It is also the first ECNL honor for Dorsey.

"We are very proud of Brooke and Gaby, and the recognition that their performances deserved," said Christian Lavers.  "Both Brooke and Gaby have worked very hard this season, have been very coachable in their mentality and approach, and it is starting to show on game day.  Obviously Brooke will be out for a few more months, and we will be very excited to have her back."

Both the U16 and U17 FC Wisconsin Eclipse teams will play in their second ECNL National Showcase Event in Sanford, FL from December 28-30, 2012.
