FC WI Girls Shine at id2 Camp

Two FC Wisconsin girls were among the 60 players across the country invited to the December id2 National Training Camp in Casa Grande, AZ.

Aryssa Mahrt and Emma Jaskaniec were 2 of approximately 60 players from across the country born in 2001 and 2002 and selected to US Club Soccer’s id2 Program Training Camp held in Casa Grande, AZ from December 11-13.

All players at the camp were identified based on their performances in ECNL and other competition over the prior months.  The camp included 3 training sessions and 2 11v11 games over the three-and-a-half days, with top youth coaches from across the country teaching the players.

“id2 Camp gave me a perspective on the level of competition and talent that is out there,” said U14 Aryssa Mahrt.  “It allowed me to see what it takes to succeed and become a better player.”  Emma Jaskaniec had similar thoughts: “All the players at camp were really talented.  You had to work really hard for your opportunities, but it was so fun playing against some of the best kids in the country.”

The id2 Program is designed to be a developmental experience to help the players in attendance see and evaluate themselves at the highest levels in the country, and to hopefully inspire them to work even harder in accomplishing their goals in the future.
