Gonyo oversees the development of all goalkeepers in the club. She had a distinguished playing career as a youth, collegiate and professional goalkeeper. Gonyo won the 2011 U18 USYS National Championship while being named the "Golden Glove" best goalkeeper. She played at Loyola University in Chicago where she set the school's all-time records for career shut-outs, single season goals-against average, and career goals-against average. After her collegiate career, Gonyo played with the NWSL's Chicago Red Stars and was the starting goalkeeper for the 2015 WPSL National Championship winners.
