Another Week, More College Stars Shine!

FC WI Eclipse with More College Alums than any WI Club!

As more teams started their college seasons, more club alums made their mark in Division I, II, III and NAIA competition - with and against some of the top teams in the country!

  • Loyola dropped a 0-1 decision to Eastern Michigan, with Mariah Vichich playing all 90 minutes in defense.
  • UWM was on the wrong end of a PK in a 0-1 loss to Butler, with Cassidy Blanchard starting and Mariah Downs and Olivia Wright coming off the bench.
  • #12 Wisconsin lost a tight game 1-2 to #13 UCLA, with Holly Heckendorf and McKenna Meuer starting, and Steph Fabry getting some time in reserve.  Chloe Knudtson also saw time in UW's 0-2 loss to #12 Pepperdine.
  • Oklahoma State was defeated 0-2 by Oklahoma before rebounding to rout Georgia 4-0.  Michela Ongaro started both games in goal.
  • Marquette ran rough-shod over Boston University 3-0, with Jacie Jermier and Caroline Fink starting.  Bri Jaeger and Allison Jacobson came off the bench.
  • #7 Notre Dame defeated Portland 2-0 with Britany Von Reuden starting and playing 90 minutes.
  • Florida Atlantic lost their first game of the season in a 0-2 defeat to #4 Texas A&M.  Maddie Pung started.
  • UW-Green Bay lost their home opener 0-3 to St. Mary’s (CA) with Kara Baugrud earning the start.
  • University of New Hampshire lost their first game of the season to Siena 0-2 with Gaby Dorsey coming off the bench.
  • Denver lost 0-1 in overtime to Hawaii with Mary DeWalt starting up front.
  • Brandeis won 4-1 over MIT in their opener, with alums Haley Prudent and Lilly Mueller facing off against each other.
  • Northern Illinois lost 1-2 to Omaha with Jackie Wandt starting.
  • Western State Colorado won their only exhibition match of the season with Katie Hoefgen scoring her first collegiate goal.
  • Loyola Marymount (CA) won 3-0 over Bucknell with Ally Andreini in the starting line-up.
  • Cardinal Stritch won 3-0 over Ashford with Katie Golabowski starting.
  • University of Rochester opened their year with a 3-1 win over Houghton with Christina Feller coming off the bench.
