Thursday June 9 dawned grey and rainy, but the weather was beautiful for the 3rd Annual Club Sand Soccer and BBQ!  Players from U10 to U18 converged on Bradford Beach for some games and fun, great grilled food and snacks, and new this year - an impromptu club talent show.

Players were put into teams of mixed age groups, with mentors and mentees playing with and against each other, and even several of the coaches jumped into the competition.  The Sand Soccer and BBQ Event is a great way to mark the end of the spring season, and a reminder that, while soccer is what brings everyone together, a real club must do more than develop soccer players on the field.

The imprompt talent show added a new element to the event in 2016 - with everything from Kung-Fu exercises to Nicki Minaj singing.  Who knew the diversity of talent in the club?!
