The weekend of October 24-25 was a pretty special weekend for two Wisconsin Division 1 colleges and for a bunch of FC Wisconsin Eclipse alums.

With a 1-0 win over Maryland, the Wisconsin Badgers became the 2015 regular season Big Ten Conference Champions for the first time since 1996, with contributions from FC Wisconsin Eclipse alums all over the field. Senior midfielder McKenna Meuer had the assist that secured the championship and leads the team in goals this season, junior defender Holly Heckendorf has started nearly every game of the season, and freshmen Steph Fabry and Chloe Knudtson have played contributing roles of the bench.  Congratulations to coaches Paula Wilkins, Tim Rosenfeld, and Kristen Weiss - and congratulations to our 4 great alums! With a 0-0 tie with Northern Kentucky, the UWM Panthers became the 2015 regular season Horizon League Champions, reclaiming a spot they held for more than a decade a few years ago.  FC Wisconsin Eclipse alums also had their fingerprints all over the accomplishment.  Sophomore centerback Cassidy Blanchard was a fixture on defense for the Panthers, with sophomore defender Erin Corrigan, sophomore forward Olivia Wright, and freshman forward Mariah Downs playing key roles off the bench.  Congratulations to first year head coach Troy Fabiano, and assistants Steve and Becky Golas - and congratulations to our 4 great alums! Read about the clinching game here!
